Recently there was news about the Beijing government. The municipal government of Beijing is restructuring. This will happen by the end of June. The restructure is part of a institutional restructuring plan and another step towards a stronger economy and financial state.
Currently, the government consists out of 45 departments, each with their own tasks. After the restructuring it will have a total of 46 departments, adding one department. 27 of the consulting bodies will be gone and in favour of the industrial management, software industry, promotion bureau and enterprises, Beijing is planning to set up an economics and information committee.
Next to this, several bureaus will be set up, like a drug supervision bureau, a health bureau, a finance work bureau and a human resources and social security bureau. Five new ministries have been set up as well. The developments will include economy and social development through IT.
From an economical aspect, the Beijing municipal government will be much stronger. This is very important since Beijing, with its 19 districts, is the centre of many important aspects like politics and economics. Development is the keyword and the Beijing government is therefore constantly on going, with a lot of important meetings throughout the year.
