Preliminary football matches between Ajax Amsterdam and Feyenoord Rotterdam without football supporters
Last week the KNVB, the board of the two biggest Football Clubs from Holland Ajax and Feyenoord and the mayors of both parties made the decision that the two parties should play the preliminary without any supporters of the antagonist.
The decision was made after last weeks match. Ajax Amsterdam and Feyenoord Rotterdam were playing against each other in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. Ajax had won the game with 1-0, a result of violence and missbehave by fans of both parties. The good service of the police and security of Amsterdam and Rotterdam were unfortunately not very helpful this evening...
The officials already plotted out schemes, but now it is official that Ajax and Feyenoord will play against each other without football fan support. After two years there will be a new meeting, where the period may be reduced.
There has been a five-year regime in 2005, where it was discussed that if there should come any discomfort again, the teams will play the next two seasons entirely without public. Supporters of Amsterdam and Rotterdam are very concerned that the extent had to come this far.
